HERE IN OUR GALLERY IS A SELECTION OF PICTURES OVER THE YEARS
The June Recital
Each year the students focus their skills to perform in the June Recital. The recital typically takes place in a fully equipped local theater with lighting, sound, costumes, and makeup. Students perform before an enthusiastic audience of extended family and friends.
Step-by-step the choreography comes together to produce each memorable number and make best use of everyone's talent and training. Everyone sparkles.
sjDANCEco Festival
An invitational dance festival, often held at Santana Row. We usually provide many dance numbers. This gives our students an opportunity for public performance.
AND, OF COURSE... The Moscow Ballet Great Russian Nutcracker
Moscow Ballet Uses Local Ballet Students to Perform in Young Dancer’s Roles. Moscow Ballet comes to Saratoga School of Dance each season to recruit young dancers for its main-stage production of The Great Russian Nutcracker. Young ballet dancers from Saratoga School of Dance and other schools perform alongside the professionals. Ages 6 to 18 are invited to audition for a number of roles, depending on their age and skill level. (It is not a guarenteed assignment; it is an audition) Typically, dozens of young dancer participate. Roles include Party Children, Small Mice, Snowflakes, Russian Snow Maidens. Auditions are led by the Saratoga School of Dance and a dancer from the Moscow Ballet. One of Moscow Ballet’s dancers teaches the roles at Saratoga School of Dance.
San Jose Downtown Christmas Festival
An invitational dance festival on the main stage as a festival of lights decorated the park. This gives our students an opportunity for public performance.
