NUTCRACKER! MAGICAL CHRISTMAS BALLET USES LOCAL STUDENTS IN DANCER ROLES

NUTCRACKER! MAGICAL CHRISTMAS BALLET Uses Local Ballet Students to Perform in Young Dancer’s Roles. The professional crew comes to Saratoga School of Dance each season to recruit young dancers for its main-stage production of The Great Nutcracker. Young ballet dancers from Saratoga School of Dance and other schools perform alongside the professionals. Ages 6 to 18 are invited to audition for a number of roles, depending on their age and skill level. Typically, dozens of young dancer participate. Roles include Party Children, Small Mice, Snowflakes, and Snow Maidens. Auditions are led by the Saratoga School of Dance and a dancer from the NUTCRACKER! MAGICAL CHRISTMAS BALLET. One of the company's ballet dancers teaches the roles at Saratoga School of Dance.

The prestigious international ballet company partners with local dance studios to cast young talent to perform onstage alongside professional artists. NUTCRACKER!
